Lucid Dreaming Synesthesia

Synesthesia Program

Synesthesia can simply be described as cross talk between senses, when an experience in one sense stimulates a response in another. We have all had mildly synesthetic experiences - for instance, we map emotions to colors and spacial directions. Someone unhappy is said to be "feeling blue" or "feeling down." But some people experience it a lot more vividly and realistically.

A small percentage of people will experience the associations as if they were real. They can experience anything from tasting sounds to hearing colors, but the most common type of synesthesia is grapheme-color synesthesia - where letters and numbers appear a certain color. The associations of grapheme-color synesthesia can actually help people become better at spelling difficult words. To quote a synesthete "In elementary school I remember knowing how to spell the word 'priority' [with an "i" rather than an "e"] because ... an 'e' was out of place in that word because 'e's were yellow and didn't fit."

If you want to experience grapheme-color synesthesia for yourself, try out this program and see how you like it!

Program Instructions

To complete this program, you will only need to use your keyboard to provide answers of either “Yes” or “No” to move your way through the script. This program generally takes between 15 and 20 minutes to complete. It is recommended to leave another 15 minutes free at the end: both to consolidate the changes and to keep any time-related pressure from interfering with the session. So be sure to work through the program when you have enough free time to be completely uninterrupted. Just remember - the more you put into it, the more you get out of it.
